 WGMS Band News

Band students here at WGMS will be working with a new computer program this year called “SmartMusic.” This program helps students improve in their home and school practicing by providing instant feedback about the notes they are performing right and wrong and by listening to recordings of their practicing. This tool will undoubtedly help band students improve their skills and motivate more practice time at home. Please visit the website www.smartmusic.com to learn more about “SmartMusic” and to see how to purchase this program for your child.  Call Mrs. Sica with any questions about the implementation of this exciting technology at 942-8000, X8044.

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

The Holiday Season is upon us, and with it comes the difficult task of trying to fit all of the events and celebrations into our family schedule. For students, this is an exciting and expectant time. It is also a time when they can get overwhelmed with all of the items on their agendas, many of them things over which they have little or no control. It is with our students’ schedules in mind that our Willow Grove schedule is focused on the classroom environment for the month of December. As we continue to prepare for our District’s Transformation for 2012-2013, it is most important that we keep a sharp focus on that environment, and the learning that takes place in our classrooms each and every day.
